To start off this netbook feathers the N270 Intel Atom processor found in most netbooks.  The chip features 512 KB of L2 cache, a 533 MHz front side bus and runs at 1.66 GHz.  The 1 GB of DDR2 memory running at 667 MHz of on-board memory is expandable to 2 GB.

The display on this netbook is a LED backlit 10″ WSVGA widescreen with 1024 x 600 resolution. The display is driving by the Intel GMA950 chip which shares up to 224 MB of video memory with the system.  It’s a 256-bit graphics core running at 400 MHz.

This device has a 160 GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive, but does not have a CD or DVD drive.  It does support external drives via the USB connectors. Speaking of USB ports this system comes with 3 high-speed USB 2.0 ports.  The Multi-in-1 media reader supports Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO and xD-Picture Card.

For networking this netbook comes with a built-in high-speed wireless LAN (802.11b/g) and a 10/100 RJ-45 Ethernet connection. The built-in webcam makes it easy to video chat or Skype with friends and family near or far.

This netbook comes installed with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition operating system with Service Pack 3 (SP3) . Other software includes Adobe Reader, Microsoft Works, a 60-day trial version of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007.
