For networking you can use the RJ-45 Ethernet port for 10/100/1000 wired internet, or use the built-in 802.11 b/g/n wifi adapter for wireless connectivity.  If you need an antiquated modem, this is not the laptop for you.

Other external ports include 1 headphone jack, 1 microphone input,  3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 VGA port for connecting an external monitor, and 1 (4pin) i.LINK® connector (IEEE 1394).

The system comes with a built-in MOTION EYE camera and microphone for video chatting.
