The laptop measures 16.1″x10.8″x1.3″ and weighs 7.3 pounds which puts it in the desktop replacement category.  The Lithium ion (3500mAh) battery pack provides up to 3.5 hours of unplugged power.  Sony also sells an extended life battery pack as an optional accessory.

You can find the Sony VAIO VPCEC25FX/BI laptop for around $950.
