Toshiba Satellite L655D-S5076 Laptop with AMD Phenom II

The Toshiba Satellite (Model L655D-S5076) laptop features an AMD Phenom II processor, a 15.6″ LED display and Microsoft Windows 7.

The Toshiba Satellite (Model: L655D-S5076) laptop is powered by the AMD Phenom II processor. This beast is a quad-core processor with each core running at 1.6GHz. It has 2MB of L2 cache and only consumes 25W. This computer comes with 4GB of DDR3 memory and can take a maximum of 8GB.

The screen is a 15.6″ widescreen HD TruBrite TFT LED display with a resolution of 1366×768. This screen is LED backlit for lower power usage and has native support for 720p content. The screen is driven by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 graphics chip with 256MB-1917MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory.

For storage you get a 320GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive rotating at 5400RPM. A decent sized drive to hold your music, digital photos, movies and more. The optical drive is a DVD SuperMulti drive supporting 11 formats. The memory card reader supports SD, SDHC, mini SD, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, MMC formats for getting your photos off your camera.

Networking comes in the form of a 10/100 Ethernet connection and an 802.11 b/g/n wireless adapter. It’s also got a webcam and integrated microphone for video chat. External ports include 1 VGA port for connecting an external monitor, 1 microphone in jack, 1 headphone out jack, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 eSATA/USB combo port and RJ-45 port for networking. No HDMI port on this machine.

The laptop comes installed with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Other software includes Microsoft Works 9, Corel Label@Once, Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Edition (60-day trial), Intuit Quickbooks Simple Start Online, Norton Internet Security 2010 (30 day subscription) and tons of Toshiba crapware.

The laptop measures 14.96″x9.84″x”1.10″/1.49″ and weighs 6.4 pounds.
