The Beat Down
Here's a funny story for you WoW players. It might even be funny for you uninitiated as well. I play on a PvP server which means I can try to kill other players (in my case Horde) if I want too. Now that I'm level 60 there are more opportunities for payback. Yesterday, I saw two level 41 Horde harassing a fellow Alliance character. I'm not decked out in epic gear, but I should be able to take them.

I charge in and start beating on the mage. He runs so I try to hamstring him, but for some reason I can't. He doesn't get away though. It takes longer than it should, but finally I kill him. I now turn my attention to the warrior.

It's at this point that I notice why it took so long to kill the mage. I'm still wielding my fishing pole. Oops. I feel bad for the Horde who got beat down by my pole (no, I don't).

So the PvP lesson for the day is: Make sure you have a weapon equipped before taking on the Horde, or have a tough fishing pole.

In other news, I'm sure most of you realized that I'm not giving up BBspot to play WoW full-time. That was this year's April Fools joke. I'm disappointed that this year and next April 1st will be on the weekend. I've had so much fun fooling people in past years. Always makes for a good Mailbag. I did snag a couple this year, but not the usual volume. We'll have to wait until 2008 for that. Filed under Musings by Brian - Mon Apr 3, 2006 @ 12:00 AM (Permalink - Discuss)
