Fourth Annual Geek Limerick Contest

It's that time of year again. Time to dazzle fellow BBspotters with your creativity. Compose a limerick with a geeky topic, and you could win one of the fabulous prizes. Please take a look at the official rules below before sending in your entry. Limericks will be judged on creativity, geekiness, and since this is a humor site, the humorosity of the limerick.

1st Place: $40 Amazon gift certificate

2nd Place: $20 Amazon gift certificate

If you need a limerick refresher course, there are a couple examples below, or you can check out previous year's winners.

2004 Winners

2003 Winners

2002 Winners

Examples

The hero in spider-man 2
A man in tights, red and blue
He swings through the air
With nary a care
Except when he has to go poo

Though many directors are cursed
George Lucas is one of the worst
Some scenes he retooled
But nobody's fooled
We all know it's Han who shot first

Official rules: Please send your own previously unpublished limerick to briggsb@bbspot.com. By sending in your limerick you give us rights to publish the limerick on BBspot.com, but you can keep the rights to publish it in your book of geek limericks. The limerick must be received by March 31st to be eligible to win. You can send in multiple entries, but you are only eligible to win one of the prizes. Winners will be announced in April!
