Ubuntu Press Release Sent By Mistake to BBspot

By Brian Briggs and Marvin Duran

Ann Arbor, MI - Being a member of the press, I get press releases and requests from PR firms hoping to get some coverage on BBspot.  Yesterday, I received one from Ubuntu that raised my eyebrows.  It looked like it had been sent out by mistake, which was confirmed when I received an e-mail ten minutes later asking that I don't post it.  I don't remember ever signing a non-disclosure agreement with them, and this is too funny to pass up.  Here's what I received:

Take it for what you will, but I thought it was hilarious. Must have been some of the developers pulling a prank with the PR people. That will teach them to trust developers!
