Merry Christmas

By jackrabbit

You know that annoying relative you have that waits till the last minute to prepare for the holidays? The guy that sends his Christmas cards out the day before Christmas, and buys gifts for you at Walgreen's on the way to your house on Christmas Eve? I'm that guy, except I don't think we're related. You and me, I mean, not you and the guy I just described.

So here's the Fuzzy Logic holiday comic, only 6 days late. In the grand scheme of things, six days for me is a vast improvement over my normal update schedule. A couple of things to point out in regards to this comic:

  • The first and most obvious is probably my thinly veiled loathing for Santa Claus. I don't know why, but I can't imagine drawing him without some kind of violence involved. I should probably seek counseling.
  • The second thing is the whole "I Had Subway!" bandwagon I just jumped on. Rest assured, this will be a short bandwagon trip for me as I'm already sick of the commercials. I hope it doesn't become the next "Where's the Beef?" catchphrase. I also hope that the commercials I'm talking about have a wide distribution or no one will know what the hell I'm going on about.
  • Thirdly, I'm trying a new style with my line art. Those of you that can remember back to my past comic might notice the lines in it aren't very clean. I'm now scanning the art at a much higher resolution, and then using Adobe Streamline to clean them up. You can see the difference in this image I did for an upcoming comic. If you have any input, let me know.
  • Fourthly, and I think, most importantly, is anyone else disturbed by Santa's jolly ol' man-boobs?

Astute readers will have picked up on the mention of "an upcoming comic". Since I really have no excuse anymore for not keeping a schedule, I'm making it my New Years Resolution to draw one new comic a week. I know that's not much, but I have to set the bar low. I'm painfully aware of what I'm capable of. We'll see how long I can keep that up. Feel free to send me encouraging or threatening emails over the course of the new year.

That about does it for me. Happy Holidays, I'll see you next week!
