| Today's offering capitalizes on
the events of the Super Bowl Halftime, as pretty much every other
media outlet is doing. It's a tough joke not to make. The problem
is that I'm not usually topical, and so there's no reference for
the casual reader that happens upon this comic when browsing the
archives once the whole boob-popping-out thing is no longer relevant.
I used an interesting technique in this comic that I like to call the "Might
As Well Color It Anyhow" technique. Even though I knew I was going
to have to wash the comic out in TV blue, I wanted the color values
to look right, so I colored it, then changed the hue. In the future,
I think I'll save time and abandon
that technique.
I finally caved in after months of debating and bought an Xbox with LIVE and
several games, so I've got more distractions from the comic. Luckily, I'm usually
FAR too drunk when I'm writing the comic to be able to play Xbox with any success.
