The Belt Holds His Brains In

By jackrabbit

I probably run the risk of making an insider joke, but...

I was introduced to Peter Jackson's films back in 1987 when my brothers Pete and Davey made me watch his first film, Bad Taste. If you haven't seen it, you'll probably go on to live a normal, productive life. If you happened to see Meet the Feebles, I can;t make that same promise. I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, though not so much that I ran a fansite or bought every release of the DVDs. I guess it's mainly because for as long as I watch his films, I can't rid myself of the image of Peter Jackson as Derek, keeping his brains safely inside his head with a taughtly buckled belt.

Despite all that, I look forward too seeing what his big budget can do with bigger puppets, as in King Kong. Hopefully Kong wont have a puppet cat bent over his desk, about to "pop his cookies." I'm not making this stuff up, folks.

On that note, I'll wrap things up for the week. Also, please please DON'T email me about Yoda and the whole Episode II lightsaber thing. Number one I was kidding, and number two, that second trilogy doesn't count as real. ;)
