City of Heroes?

By jackrabbit

Today's comic is based on actual events, since I'm not clever enough to have come up with this on my own.

As the comic indicates, myself and the group the comic is based on have been playing City of Heroes since last week. It's my first return to an MMORPG since Ultima Online, and I while I really like the game, I'm already convinced there's no way I'd pay $15 a month to continue playing it. The game offers a lot of customization to the looks of your character, and a few variation to the types of character you can play, but there's very little variation in gameplay. I'm sure I'll enjoy it for what remains of the included 30 days of free online play.

Here's a quick tale of how I almost didn't finish the comic this week. Having played City of Heroes all weekend on an low watt power supply was too much for the thing. It burned out in a blaze of nasty smelling smoke. However, because of some bizarre alignment of the moon or something, I'd finished the comic3 days early and so tragedy was averted once again. I think this story would make a good Made for TV Movie.
