A Reminder of Me

By jackrabbit

I'll start this post off with the news of the comic I didn't draw. I had done the art for the Evil Soul of Skeeter and had planned to have the soul haunt the house for a few days before Darokin, the Express Bus Driver to Hell arrived to collect. However, I didn't realize until I drew the soul raising from Skeeter's bird corpse that he looked unmistakeably penis-like. It didn't help that he was rising form the bird's crotch, so rather than redraw it, I skipped ahead to the script for next week. I probably won't return to the Evil Soul of Skeeter, so collectors will only have the half-inked sketch above.

On a more serious note, this may not come as a surprise to many, but I've decided to retire Fuzzy Logic. We're on Episode 90 now, and my plan is to finish up with Episode 100.

I'm just finding week after week, as other projects loom in front of me, that I'd rather be focusing on different things. I never planned on making a habit of drawing Fuzzy Logic, and for me it's gone on longer than I had the creativity to keep it going. I think the quality of the comic has suffered, and I began to resent Monday nights, knowing the comic was due in the morning. No labor of creativity should ever seem like a chore, so I'm stopping.

I won't be hanging up my pens, though. I'm sure I'll still be drawing. I still plan on helping Brian keep BBspot well stocked with artwork, and I'm looking forward to working on new projects.

So this week marks the final 10 countdown. 9 more weeks to go.
