La Jolla - A coalition of Napster users have filed a class
action lawsuit against fellow user, shanias-hot, for his horrible
MP3 collection. The
violations cited by the group, include bad taste in music, incomplete
tracks and misrepresentation of internet connection.
"Kenny Rogers was bad, but Billy Ray Cyrus? That was
the last straw," said co-plaintiff SnakeMonKey. "T3?
My ass! It took me four hours to get one song from him."
 "I've had similar
problems," said blink182-ruLes, "I was getting "All
the Small Things", which must have gotten there by accident,
and it was taking forever. When it was finally done, the last
20 seconds of the song were cutoff. I lost 30 minutes of my
life to this loser. What a tool."
"I didn't know that being the only country music lovin' Napster
user was illegal," said Mr. Shanias-hot. "I do have
a T3 line but it's at work. I haven't been able to upgrade
to 28.8 yet at home."
Other offending music on the defendant's computer included, "Elvira" by
the Oak Ridge Boys, "Mountain Music" by Alabama and an
incomplete version of "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Lawyer for the plaintiffs, Johnny Cochran, said "If the music
is shit. Shanias-hot must quit. This man must be stopped."
Napster is a music archival software program widely available on
the internet.
